SHAKESPEARE PROJECT

1.What do you now about Shakespeare?
William Shakespeare was an English poetplaywright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon".He was born in Stratford-upon-Avon,Warwickshire,England,the 26 April of 1564, and he died the 23 April 1616 (with 52 years old). At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, with whom he had three children.

2.Do some research on the "pavan" (3 or 4 lines are enough)
The pavane, pavan, paven, pavin, pavian, pavine, or pavyn is a slow processional dance common in Europe during the 16th century (Renaissance). The pavane, the earliest-known music for which was published in Venice by Ottaviano Petrucci is a sedate and dignified couple dance, similar to the 15th-century basse danse

3.In your own words, try to express the feeling you get listening to this music.
John Dowland's video:it makes me feel relaxed and calm. The melody is very soft and quiet.
Matthew Locke's video:the melody is more cheerful than the other and is more interesting too because there are more instruments.
